WILL THE GALAXY S22 BE RELEASED IN JANUARY AS EXPECTED?

Traditionally, Samsung launches the Galaxy S21 during the Mobile World Congress in the second half of February (MWC). However, the Galaxy S21 series was released in January of last year. This was also the first time Samsung announced its S series flagships in January.

In the context of the Covid 19 pandemic, many corporations backed away, so  MWC was held in the form of a virtual event in June. Samsung, on the other hand, chose to ignore that timeline and simply reveal its smartphones early. This move was probably to poach some of Huawei’s customers as well.

It raises the question of whether the Galaxy S22 series would be released in January or in the second half of February. If we take every action of Samsung into consideration,  it will appear like Samsung is aiming for January.

SAMSUNG AND THE MASS PRODUCTION IN  NOVEMBER

The Galaxy S22’s mass production is expected to begin in November, so a January launch sounds like a reasonable step for Samsung. However, please bear in mind that you have to consider the information carefully since these predictions have not been verified yet.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 series will be the first series to include AMD’s GPU. Samsung and AMD are working together on a next-generation flagship Exynos SoC which is supposed to be called the Exynos 2200. However, this chipset will not be available on all Galaxy S22 versions. Samsung intends to adopt Qualcomm’s Snapdragon flagship as well, so it may depend on which market will get it.
