Capitalising on the exit of Huawei over the past year, Xiaomi has become a winner in 22 smart phone markets, with its MIUI users counting a peak of 450 million in the second quarter of the current financial year.
The quarterly results showed that the Chinese smartphone maker posted a double-digit hike in profit, revenue, phone shipment and others.
On top of that, Xiaomi is also investing in Internet of Things (IoT) technology, which enjoyed an annualised growth of 35.9 percent, ranging from lifestyle to IoT products.
It has 374 million IoT devices, including laptops and smartphones, not to mention more than 7.4 million users having air purifiers, vacuum cleaners, light bulbs, thermostats, humidifiers, and home security cameras.
The above is behind the success of the manufacturer in 22 markets like France, Spain and Italy.
